Painting Process: Mini acrylic painting – It always seems impossible until it’s done.

acrylic-painting-step-by-step Hey cuties! Today I’m sharing some process pictures for my most recent painting, “it always seems impossible until i’s done”. Below are a some images showing the painting in various stages of completion and a little bit of info about what’s going on in each one…

acrylic-painting-process-picturesPRIME + SKETCH: Here I’ve primed the canvas with a neutral base colour and drawn out a layout using black paint.

acrylic-painting-process-picturesCOMPLETE SKETCH + FIRST BITS OF COLOUR: Here I’ve decided on the placement of the little paper boat and started adding very thin layers of colour.

COMPLETE!: I finished off the painting by adding details like highlights and little stars with thicker white, blue or pink paint.

I’m in the process of painting another mini 6″ x 4″piece, to go with this one. I’m actually recording the painting process so… if all goes to plan, you’ll be able to watch the entire process from start to finish (at crazy hyper speed!). I’d love to know whether this is something you’d like to see! Please let me know in the comments.
